My Name is Josh Maddocks,
I started my journey back in 2007-2008 at school (no, not Hogwarts) when I learned to cheat at cards. We would often play blackjack in lessons and sometimes poker. I noticed if I shuffled in certain way I would know one card...then after some time I could know the locations of two, before long, pretty much all of them.
Fast forward, and I have finished school and I could no longer cheat anyone, so I just practiced these moves, until one day I fooled myself by ‘dealing a card’ that wasn’t there. it looked so magical so I tried to re-create it.
After a while I found myself practicing tricks, as the movements were so similar to the cheating moves. Before long with some help from Key figures in the early stages I got myself a gig at the workingman's club in Fishermead Milton Keynes.
Though word of mouth and repeat bookings I would find myself working gigs regularly in both Milton Keynes and Northampton for the next 8 years, working for nightclubs, pubs, weddings, parties and corporate - Some gigs included Mercedes, Tesco and Red Bull.
I have now moved to Norfolk and am based in Kings Lynn, since moving I have married my Best friend and I have become a farther, with another on the way.
Last month I had my first gig in Norfolk and I am looking to book many more.
